Lila’s Lavender Lemon Bars

Sweet and creamy, with lemon and lavender perfectly balanced in every bite.

Ingredients

  • Crust: 1/2 lb butter, 1/2 cup sugar, 2 cups flour, 1/8 tsp salt
  • Filling: 6 eggs, 3 cups sugar, 2 tbsp zest, 1 cup lemon juice, 1/2 cup lavender buds, 1 cup flour
  • Lavender powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix crust, press into pan, bake 15–20 mins.
  2. Simmer lavender in lemon juice 20 mins. Strain, cool.
  3. Whisk filling, pour over crust. Bake 30–35 mins until set.
  4. Cool and dust with lavender sugar.

Lavender Shortbread Cookies

Classic buttery shortbread with mint and lavender.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups butter, 2/3 cup sugar, 2 tbsp lavender, 1 tbsp mint
  • 2 1/3 cups flour, 1/2 cup cornstarch, 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Cream butter, sugar, and herbs. Mix in dry ingredients. Chill dough.
  2. Cut into shapes. Bake at 325°F for 20–25 mins. Dust with lavender sugar.

Lavender Jelly

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup lavender, 2 1/2 cups water, 4 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/4 cup white wine, food color (optional), 1/2 bottle liquid pectin

Instructions

  1. Steep lavender in water 15 mins. Strain and measure 2 cups liquid.
  2. Add sugar, wine, color. Bring to boil. Add pectin. Boil 1 min.
  3. Pour into jars. Seal and process.

Lavender Simple Syrup

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water, 2 cups sugar, 2 tbsp lavender

Instructions

  1. Boil all ingredients. Steep 30 mins. Strain and chill.
  2. Store covered in fridge. Use in lemonade, tea, cocktails.

Lavender Chocolate Bites

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup evaporated milk, 1 tbsp lavender, 1.5 cups sugar
  • 2 tbsp butter, 1/4 tsp salt, 2 cups marshmallows
  • 1.5 cups chocolate chips, 1 tsp vanilla

Instructions

  1. Steep lavender in hot milk. Strain into pan. Add sugar, butter, salt. Boil 4 mins.
  2. Stir in marshmallows, chips, vanilla. Pour into pan. Chill 2 hrs. Cut into squares.

Blackberry Lavender White Chocolate Scones

Soft, buttery scones with berries, white chocolate, and a floral lavender glaze.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups flour, 2 tbsp sugar, 1 tbsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt
  • 8 tbsp grated butter
  • 1 egg, 3/4 cup buttermilk + extra for brushing
  • 1 tbsp vanilla, 2 cups blackberries, 1 cup white chocolate chips
Lavender Glaze:
  • 1/3 cup milk, 2 tbsp butter, 2 tbsp dried lavender
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Line baking sheets.
  2. Mix dry ingredients. Add butter. Stir in egg, buttermilk, vanilla.
  3. Gently fold in berries and chocolate. Pat dough 1" thick. Cut into squares.
  4. Brush with buttermilk. Bake 15–18 mins. Cool.
  5. For glaze: Heat milk, butter, and lavender. Steep 5 mins. Strain. Add powdered sugar. Drizzle on scones.

Lemon Lavender Custard

Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk, 2 tbsp sugar or substitute, 1 1/2 tsp lavender (or thyme)
  • 3/4 cup egg product or 3 eggs, 1/3 cup lemon curd, 1 tsp vanilla

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F. Simmer milk, sugar, and lavender. Strain.
  2. Whisk eggs, curd, vanilla. Slowly add milk. Pour into custard cups.
  3. Place cups in water bath. Bake 40 mins until set. Chill 2 hrs before serving.

Lavender Punch

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water, 1 cinnamon stick, 1/2 tsp cloves
  • 3 tbsp lavender (fresh or dried), 1 can frozen limeade
  • 2 cups Concord grape juice, 1 lime sliced, 1 liter seltzer or ginger ale

Instructions

  1. Simmer water, cinnamon, cloves 5 mins. Remove from heat. Steep lavender 10 mins. Strain.
  2. Add limeade and grape juice. Chill.
  3. Serve in pitcher with lime slices and ice. Top with seltzer or ginger ale.

Lavender Berry Butter

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup fresh berries
  • 1 tsp dried lavender

Instructions

  1. Blend butter, cream cheese, honey, and berries until smooth.
  2. Fold in lavender. Chill until firm.
  3. Serve with scones, toast, or pancakes.


Lavender Lemonade

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar, 1 tbsp dried lavender blooms
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice (strained), 5 cups water
  • Lavender sprigs for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar and 2.5 cups water. Bring to boil, stirring to dissolve.
  2. Add lavender. Remove from heat. Cover and steep 20 mins.
  3. Strain and add lemon juice and remaining water. Chill and serve over ice.

Lavender Chamomile Mint Tea with Lemon and Honey

Dry Blend

  • 1/2 cup dried lavender flowers
  • 1/2 cup dried chamomile
  • 1/2 cup dried peppermint leaves
  • 1/2 cup dried nettle leaves
  • Pinch of cayenne (optional)

To Brew One Pitcher

  • 3 tbsp tea blend
  • 8 cups water
  • Juice of 2 lemons
  • 1/4 cup honey (dissolved in warm water)

Instructions

  1. Boil water and remove from heat. Add tea blend in a tea ball or loose.
  2. Steep 5–10 mins. Press to extract flavor.
  3. Add lemon juice and honey water. Cool and refrigerate.
  4. Serve chilled or over ice.

Creamy Lavender Vinaigrette

Light and tangy with floral and citrus notes. Pairs well with greens and roasted veggies.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/3 cup rice wine vinegar
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup olive or grapeseed oil
  • 1 tsp lemon or lime juice

  • 1.5 tsp dried lavender (ground finely)

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a mason jar. Shake well.

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup arrowroot powder
  • 2/3 cup cornstarch
  • 6 tbsp white clay
  • 3 tbsp dried lavender (ground)

Instructions

  1. Grind lavender flowers in a clean coffee grinder.
  2. Mix all powders in a glass bowl. Add essential oil if desired and stir well.

  2. Bring 1 cup syrup + lavender + 1/2 lemon juice to a boil. Remove from heat. Cover and steep.

Lavender Lemon Pound Cake

Moist and buttery loaf with a delicate lemon-lavender glaze.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup dried lavender (divided)
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar (divided)
  • 1 1/2 cups + 2 tbsp cake flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp grated lemon zest
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Butter and flour a 9x5" loaf pan.
  2. Melt butter with 1 tbsp lavender. Steep 10 mins. Strain and cool.
  3. Beat eggs and 1 cup sugar until thick and pale.
  4. Sift flour and salt. Fold into eggs with lemon zest.
  5. Mix 1 cup batter with lavender butter and vanilla. Fold into rest of batter.
  6. Bake 40–45 mins. Cover if browning too quickly.
  7. Make glaze: Simmer remaining 1/2 cup sugar, lemon juice, 1/4 cup water, and 3 tbsp lavender until sugar dissolves. Strain.
  8. Brush warm loaf with syrup. Cool before serving.

Lavender Linen Starch

Simple spray for pressed linens with a natural lavender scent.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 pint cold water
  • 6 drops lavender essential oil

Instructions

  1. Dissolve cornstarch in water. Add lavender oil.

Base Ingredients

  • 2 cups macadamia nuts
  • 1 cup desiccated coconut
  • 1/4 cup date paste
  • 2 pinches Himalayan salt
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla paste

Filling Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups soaked cashews
  • 1.5 cups young coconut meat
  • 3/4 cup nut milk
  • 1/2 cup raw honey
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil
  • Juice of 1 lemon (about 1/4 cup)
  • 1 tbsp dried lavender
  • 1 tbsp vanilla paste
  • 2 pinches Himalayan salt
  • 2 tbsp psyllium husk
  • 1 cup cherries (pitted)
  • 3 fresh figs

Instructions

  1. Process base ingredients into a dough. Press into lined 7½” cake pan.
  2. Blend filling (except fruit and psyllium) until smooth. Add psyllium and blend again.
  3. Lightly pulse in figs and cherries, then fold into filling. Pour over base.
  4. Freeze until firm. Transfer to fridge before serving.

Lavender Mint Tea Punch

Ingredients

  • 6 tsp dried mint
  • 6 cups boiling water
  • 1 tbsp dried lavender blossoms
  • 1 liter ginger ale
