About Central Coast Lavender

Lavender in bloom in natural light on the estate.

Central Coast Lavender · Paso Robles, California

Grown, distilled, and crafted by hand on an organic wine-country estate.

She went looking for purity, and found purpose.

Central Coast Lavender began the way the best things often do, out of need.

Lavender helped carry Lila through a hard season, and she has spent nearly twenty years growing it, distilling it, and sharing it since. Everything made here comes from the estate's own lavender and the essential oil it gives, all from true mother-stock varietals, passed down and kept in their traditional form.

Made by the same hands that grow it

Everything that arrives at your door was grown on the estate, gathered by hand at the hour the oil is fullest, and steam distilled in a copper alembic pot still. Nothing hurried, nothing outsourced.

She went searching for true lavender, found imposters, and it made her a grower. What she keeps, she keeps true to type, generation to generation.

The roots run deep

Woven into the Central Coast

This lavender estate is woven among the pioneering and maker families of California's Central Coast. Lila's family homesteaded here along the Salinas River in 1887, and her daughter is the seventh generation to call it home.

The estate holds a founding place in the American lavender movement, and there is a much longer story here of the women before her, of her father's hands, and of the plant that gave her back her life.
